About the Course

Today’s urban design often fails to do the very thing it should prioritize above all else: creating productive places for people to live. That’s because we’ve moved away from traditional building. A shift toward the design principles that have worked for generations will help us create more value with simplicity and ease. It starts with identifying the design elements that work, understanding why and learning how to apply them in our spaces today.

In this class, we’ll cover how to plan projects for your community that maximize success through good urban design, leaving us with infrastructure that radiates value for now and for future generations.

This course is open to all audiences but will be especially relevant to planners, developers, engineers and local government leaders.
