Whether you’re dreaming of safer streets, better schools, or more local businesses, there’s only so far you can go on your own. If you want to build a stronger town, you need to get with your neighbors and work together.

In this event, Strong Towns member Cary Westerbeck will talk about his experience forming an active Strong Towns group called BoPOP (Bothellites for People-Oriented Places). He’ll walk you through the process of getting started, connecting with neighbors, building a plan, and taking action. Strong Towns Community Builder, John Pattison, will also share from his experience working with Strong Towns “Local Conversation” groups across the country to help you see what works, what doesn’t, and how you can get going today.

This is a pre-recorded Local-Motive session, only available to those who have purchased the round trip ticket.

The course is worth 1 continuing education credit through the AICP.

This session is part of our 2022 Local-Motive Tour, which features 10 action-oriented, short-form classes on subjects ranging from strengthening local businesses to creating better public engagement processes.
